Winter mental health support & advice

As the days grow shorter, it’s a great time to focus on boosting your mental wellbeing. There are plenty of simple and positive steps you can take to stay feeling your best throughout the winter months.

 

Here are some simple steps to help you stay well this winter: 

  • Get outside - try to get as much natural sunlight as possible, even a brief lunchtime walk can be beneficial   

  • Stay active and eat well - exercise boosts mood and energy levels  

  • Connect with others - social interaction can improve mental health

  • At home - sit near windows when you are indoors and try and make your environment as light and airy as possible

Contact your GP or visit local mental health services like Mind.   

The Samaritans can also be reached 24/7 and free on 116 123.
