You can refer yourself or a colleague you are concerned about to Your Staying Well Service for a range of support options. On contacting the Staying Well Service you will receive support from a Mental Health Practitioner or a Trainee HR Business Partner.  

They can support you in the areas listed below:

24 hour confidential telephone counselling

Your Staying Well Service provides access to free 24/7 confidential counselling which can be either face-to-face or over the phone. This can help with issues such as work or home related stress and depression. You can access the service here.

Trauma support

Your Staying Well Service can provide access to specialised support following a reaction to a traumatic job or following a TRiM assessment where appropriate. This is specific to the emergency services and is available either face-to-face or over the phone.

Fast-track physiotherapy

This service is provided by our partner IPRS Physio, who aim to find a physio within 15-minutes drive of your home address. This service is accessible following recommendation for physio from your GP or Occupational Health.

Expert legal / financial advice

Your Staying Well Service can also provide access to expert legal / financial advice for any concerns you may have. This is free and confidential and provided by our Employee Assistance Programme.

The South Western Ambulance Charity, founded in 1995, uses gifted monies to benefit those in our communities who use our service and to improve the welfare of the staff and volunteers of the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. 

Our charitable support covers Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire including Bristol and Swindon.
