	Operators These people will answer the phone and ask you which service you need. If you need an ambulance, say ambulance
	Ambulance call handlers These are the people that answer the phone when you call us They will ask you questions to get you the right help
	Clinical advisors These are the people that may contact you to discuss your clinical needs over the phone
	Paramedics These are the people that come to help you
	They have had lots of training to help make you better; they carry a medical bag
	Emergency care assistants These are the staff that work with the paramedics to help make you better. They can drive the ambulance and provide care and use some equipment
	Technicians These staff could work together to make you better. They can drive the ambulance and provide care and use some equipment
	Ambulance care assistants They drive our scheduled care ambulances and help people get to and from hospital

South Western Ambulance Charity

The South Western Ambulance Charity, founded in 1995, uses gifted monies to benefit those in our communities who use our service and to improve the welfare of the staff and volunteers of the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

Our charitable support covers Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire including Bristol and Swindon.
